Adding link using property/browse not working

I highlight the text that I want to be linked to. I open Properties. I click on the little file icon to the right of the properties input space. It brings up file explorer as it should. I then click on where I want to browse and it closes properties and I'm looking at the page where I highlighted the text. It will not let me "browse" to find the folder/file I want to link to.

Hi @JDLinn ,

Thanks for writing to us, trying to reset Dw app preferences and attacing a screenshot illustrating the issue. We are unable to recreate the issue internally on Win 10 machines with Dw 21.1. Hence can you please provide info as below.

OS and machine configuration details.
Can you please try docking the panel to the bottom of the app frame(can be docked by dragging and hovering at the required position until a blue border is displayed) and see if the issue gets resolved.
Is this issue observed with a specific file type or happening with all files on your machine.

Also it would be great if we can have a remote connect session (details sent via private message) to further debug the issue on your machine and try fixing the same.

Nayan ... I figured it out. From what I was using before, this works about the opposite, and Dreamweaver is much easier to use. To make the link just highlight the text, right-click and select MAKE LINK from the table, then choose the file ... a piece of cake. I was coming at it all wrong from the system I was using before. So this is MY BAD and I really appreciate the response. 4 days of looking and researching and the darned answer was LOOKING RIGHT AT ME! Oh me!

I'm using the latest from DW (I just signed up for it)

No errors are showing, all the rest seems to be working perfectly. Just that crazy browse to link not working. I had CS6 for a long time, so I know how this SHOULD work. It doesn't work for me in the new Dreamweaver.

What OS are you using? If you are seeing the File window open on your computer, but you are unable to move around in it, this is sounding like an OS issue that you are facing. Can you try using another user account on the computer to rule out user profile corruption?
