Adobe need to release a patch update or a completely uodated version of Dreamweaver its the onlt app with no updates since 2021. The app crashes way too often to the point that a content heavy HTML page has a hard time loading and the app will more than likely crash before it even loads the page. It also crashes almost every 5 minutes. This is not an issue with my computer as it runs all the other adobe apps just fine. The team really need to step up and produce updates for all their apps not just the most popular one. I have to create a full website using Dreamweaver for a college assignment and this is very hard to do when the application keeps crashing almost every time you write onle line of code. I see all the other application get their patches and updates to fix bugs however I am yet to see one to fix Dreamweaver issues.

Have you Restored Preferences? That fixes most if not all unusual behavior.

For what it's worth, Dreamweaver DOES NOT crash on my system -- Windows 10, version 22H2 (latest).   It's actually quite stable.

I mainly work with Bootstrap and valid code.  Also my local site folders reside on my primary hard drive, not networked or cloud drives like DropBox.

Hi @Nayan_Kankariya, could you please indicate what the future plans are for Dreamweaver - with a timeline.

    • When will we see support for PHP v8?
    • When will we see support for Bootstrap v5?
    • When will we see the return of the server behaviours panels (as promised a decade ago)?

Dreamweaver uses NodeJS to function. So too do many other programs and applications including websites. When will we see support for Node JS for web development?

If the answer to all of these questions is: Never, then please give us a timeline when Adobe plans to EOL Dreamweaver. This is a plea on behalf of all who are investing their time (and money) in learning and using Dreamweaver.

    Thank you in advance,

    Ben Pleysier

Dreamweaver is only minimally maintained these days, that's a decision made by Adobe themselves. The program is on extended life support and unless Adobe's stance changes quickly l would recommend you explore alternative editors. Personally l would not feel comfortable using a product that has no future plans to move forward.

I actually have no choice but to use Dreamweaver as its part of an assignment and the awarding body made it so that we have to use Dreamweaver and no other application.

I wonder how this 'awarding body' thinks it will benefit you using specific editors, particularly ones which are no longer being actively improved. I just hope no money is changing hands for some worthless certificate.
