Question

Are 3rd party extensions allowed?

I have an old website, developed 12 years ago in Dreamweaver. Due to recent demand I'm trying to update it. I had used a third-party extension that I purchased. I just purchased an update from them and I can't get it installed. There's no option in Dreamweaver to install plug-ins.  I've tried using UnifiedPluginInstallerAgent but it doesn't seem to work.

The plug-in has a ZXP extension.

I'm starting to wonder if Adobe has depreciated this feature to force it's customers to buy from their exchange. I'm hoping Adobe hasn't made that unforgivable change.

Any help would be appreciated.

It really depends on which version of DW you have and if the extension developer took the necessary steps to make it compatible with your version of DW CC.  Some developers did update extensions for CC but many others didn't (too much trouble and not enough return in it for them).

DMX Zone, WebAssist and Project Seven's extensions work with DW CC.

Guilty as charged!

Have a look at https://www.dmxzone.com/go/22670/dmxzone-extension-manager-for-dreamweaver/

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!
