DW has a feature of automatically push files to testing server. Then, is there any functionality of the converse: when a file in a testing server is updated, it will automatically download and update a file in the local?

Is this a local testing server?   If so, keep your local site folder in your local testing server's default web folder.  Every time you save, it's automatically updated on local and testing server.

This feature is not available, check with GIT.

However, your question raises some remarks.

How many users are using this test server... necessarily several, because if you are the only one posting to this server, how could there be new files that you don't already have locally...

so you are necessarily several users, well, now say that you are user A, and users B and C are testing an identical file (with the same filename) … which file should you receive (on the server the last posted file having overwritten the first one) and then ... it will also overwrite yours locally... what a chain of damage if in the end only your file was relevant... let's not forget that the server is only used as a relay to test files

Autp-push on save is very intersting to speed up the process between the code and the server, but it is not a synchronization or versioning tool

And yes, if we talk about a test server, to what extent could a server that only receives files to be tested, hold files to be distributed and especially come and overwrite local files without prior....

once again, look at GIT... but don't confuse server and test server

So you are saying that git can do the synchronization?

Well , GIT will inform you that a repository has changed. Are you working as a team, or unique developper ?

It's not automated, but it is less prone to serious problems than an automated function like that would be...
