    Did you look at Linode as an alternative to AWS lightsail?  Depends on your needs. I thought AWS had a lot of powerful tools . . .that I wasn't going to need, and the pricing is designed to confuse.

    I think you'll get the most useful info directly from AWS.  Though I admit their jargon is hard to grasp at first. 

    I use EC2 instances and S3 buckets with Amazon's Console File Uploader.  It's more secure than conventional FTP.    I don't use Dreamweaver for this.
