Billing for website hosting

I had a website built 2 years ago. Last year I paid the builder an annual fee. This year an amount was deducted from my account.

He has told me that this is now looked after by adobe and that I should have received an email priuor to advised that a payment is due.

I haven't received any email. I contacted adobe and was told to go through the forums for answers.

As I am a newbie I don't know who to contact as I have had no communication from adobe.

Any help would be great.

Sadly, it doesn't look like anyone is "looking after the web site" since it contains code errors.  See screenshot.

But it looks like the site is hosted on Adobe Business Catalyst -- a service for which you would be charged directly by Adobe.  You might want to reach out to your Webmaster and find out why the site is not working as it should.  That's not an Adobe issue.  That's the Webmaster's responsibility.

Do you know if your web site is hosted on Adobe Business Catalyst?  If unsure, can you post the URL to your site so we can take a look at it?

All I have been told is that it is now looked after by Adobe.

    The website is www.vacgutterswa.com.au

    Thanks for your help.

I agree with Paula. Can you check and let us know the details? Also, please send me your case number over a private message. Click my picture and use the Message button.

Sounds suspicious to me, as you would have to fill in the form and bank/card details to give permission too Adobe for them to deduct the costs, something a 3rd party cannot do.

Ask the person who built the web site what the fees are for, as a site hosted on a providers server does incure annual hosting fees and domain name registration fees, but Adobe does not do seperate web site hosting for none creative cloud subscribers, and even then it is restricted to users of certain programs.

I did give him my details last year and now have been told that Adobe looks after the billing.

You have a site that is hosted by Adobe's Business Catalyst, so it could be, quite rightly, that the creator of the site has passed your details on to Adobe.

To ask further questions, you are best off to go to Business Catalyst
