I've had this site live for over a year, working fine. After making a few updates and then adding SSL, I had to add an .htaccess file, and now the formatting seems to ignore the bootstrap link.

Change the link to https://

<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/css/bootstrap.min.css">

The browser is blocking parts of the page that are not secure and the http link to the bootstrap file is not secure

You need to do the same with the link to the bootstrap js file - change http:// to https://

<script src="http://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.3.6/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
