BUG / Product issue: DW 21.2 Windows Multiple files selection and deselection

If you do a multiple file selection in the file manager you can ctrl+click to deselect a file but single click will not single select that file. You must to click an unselect file to clear the multiple selection and then single click a file to select it.

If memory serves well in older version DW CS6 that was the default interaction.

It may be have been that way in legacy apps, I don't remember.  I haven't used CS6 in a decade.

DW CC was rebuilt in 2017 with all new UI, panels & code engine replacing the former Creative Suite interface.  If you're seeking ways to make DW CC 2021 behave like CS6, that's not going to happen.  You would need to install an older pre-2017 version that contained the old UI.

Below is a direct download link to the 2015 version.  Be sure to follow the VERY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS to access the installer or it won't work.  Also, Adobe may remove these legacy installers anytime without notice.

My point is that this choice, for single click not to do anything is counter intuitive form a UX point for a windows User , since windows default way of deselecting things when you have multiple things selected is just to click one of the selected or click something else.

I am sticking with newer versions for sure but this is something that it should be considered for improvement.

Changing how the interface behaves is unlikely to happen.  Dreamweaver is only minimally mantained now.
