BUG REPORT (with video) CODE editing pane "jumps" and moves text while highlighting code

This is really simple, and really bad:

The CODE edting pane JUMPS and moves text around while trying to edit/write/select/highlight code. Obviously this is a problem, no one wants text to JUMP around while editing code.

    It's not a bug.  It's known behavior with PHP files. 

     

    Simple solution:  Switch to Design View when editing code.  It makes a big difference. 

    Use Live View when working with layout & styles. Save often & refresh with F5. Toggle between Live/Design with Ctrl + Shift + F11. 

     

    Alternatively, temporarily change file extension from .php to .html while editing and switch  back to .php prior to uploads. 

     

    Dreamweaver is in minimal maintenance mode.  No new features are planned except minimal security & compatibility updates.
