When I update an image the new image that is on my AWS server is not reflected in DW Preview. Shows old image. Is there a way to clear Daw cache? Using DW CS 21.3. Thanks!!!

In Live View, hit F5 to Refresh.

In some cases, stopping & restarting DW is necessary to clear a sticky cache.

Ah, Dreamweaver's caching can be stubborn! To clear the cache in Dreamweaver CS 21.3, here's what you can do:

  • Close Dreamweaver: Ensure the application is completely shut down.
  • Locate the Cache File:
On Windows: Go to C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS 21.3\<Language>\Configuration.
On Mac: Navigate to MacHD: Users: <YourUsername>: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Dreamweaver CS 21.3: <Language>: Configuration.
  • Delete Cache File: Look for a file named WinFileCache-<randomString>.dat (Windows) or MacFileCache-<randomString>.dat (Mac). Delete this file.
  • Restart Dreamweaver: When you reopen it, Dreamweaver will generate a fresh cache file.

Additionally, if you're previewing through a browser, clearing the browser cache might be necessary to see the updated image.
