Can not use my Dreamweaver Software

Hello from Germany - my english is not the best but I will try! I have got problems with dreamweaver. 5 or 6 Years ago my girlfriend made our website and these days we wanted to write a last Blog entry because we have a new website @Jimdo. A similar entry as we wrote before (monthly). But suddenly, after years, the access seems to be blocked. Now there is a small window and I have to write the serial number. But the serial number of this product ("Product Code", begins with letters) is incompatible (Adobe CS 5.5 Design Premium Student and Teacher Version). So now i can not use this and for this product there is no more support. When i make a click on "buying this product" there is an adwise that the software maybe is not an original software and this is the reason why it is blocked. Thats definitely not possible because we bought it on the Adobe platform! The support notes do not help me, does anyone know a possible solution? Perhaps we registered online (years ago) and got another serial number, but we do not remember or find it any more. I have all the original CDs, covers, Barcodes, Product Codes but i dont know how to get the serial number nowadays. Thanks and best regards, Thomas

A valid product code was only a set of numbers (between 20-25 I believe).  There are no letters and product codes are not serial numbers.  If you have original CDs, the serial number was always printed on the packaging.  If you need help finding your serial number, you may be able to contact Adobe for assistance:

    Contact us | Adobe

If you purchased directly through Adobe and have a login you may be able to look up your serial numbers from your account area.  Or if you purchased from a licensed 3rd party, they may have a record of the transaction and be able to give you a receipt to help with your case to Adobe support.

Short of having that serial number, you could still work on your old site via editing the code through an editor like Brackets, but you won't be able to use Dreamweaver without having your software activated.
