Can't Open Dreamweaver CS6 - Not Responding Message

After I installed Windows 10, I can't use a Dreamweaver.

I am getting  a "Not Responding" message after every click.

1. I removed a WinFileCache from DM CS6 and DM 9 configuration, like somebody suggested on this forum, but it didn't make any difference.

2. I run SFC /SCANNOW as Administrator, but it didn't make any difference either.

Pls help!

    I fixed it.

I re-named the website folder. Then, Dreamviewer CS6 pointed me to Manage Sites because the forlder was not found anymore.

On Manage Sites, I clicked on Edit the Currently Used Site=>Local Site Folder and updated the website folder name to the new name.

This forced Dreamviewer to re-create cache.

Now it is working. I need to do it for every website I used, before upgrading my computer to Windows10.

    It is a cache problem.

I wish I knew how to force a Dreamviewer CS6 to re-create cache automatically for all websites, so I didn't have one by one re-name every website folder.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

It didn't help in my case. Something else on my computer was involved.

These would be my next two steps if I had your issue (you can leave DW9 alone, it has nothing to do with CC versions)...

Restore Preferences CC Versions - https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver.html

Cleaner Tool Reinstall (last resort) - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

I am not running DM CC. I am running CS6.

Same thing applies whether you have Creative Suite or Creative Cloud.  Run the Cleaner tool to wipe DW off your system.  Then reinstall.

One other thing.  LavaSoft Web Companion is a known conflict with many Adobe products including PS, DW & AE.  Removing Lavasoft and it's related DLL files fixes the problem.

Photoshop crashes with Lavasoft Chrome extension or Bins utility installed
