When you open the files with some other text editor, like Notebook or SimpleText, what do you see?

I have a sneaking suspicion that your file is truly empty and you have no code to view.

There appears to be a bug in the latest version that is deleting CSS files, at least, the issue has come up a few times in the forums since the latest release. Given the low numbers of users here, even a couple people reporting the same thing is likely to be a more widespread problem.

Close Dreamweaver and restart your computer.

Post back if you still need help.

Hi,

Can you please try to reset Dw preferences and confirm if the issue is resolved. We will further debug the issue accordingly.

Steps: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver-cs6-cc.html

Also it would be helpful if you can provide below info.

  1. Operating System and Dw version info
  2. Screen recording illustrating the issue
  3. Is this issue seen with all css files or with a specific css file.

Thanks,

Nayan
