Question

Can't upload a file

I am trying to make my website more cell phone friendly. But when I try to upload this particular file I get this warning:

"Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /Fishes.htm on this server."

I can upload any other file - the most recent of which is www.ryanphotographic.newsyngnathidae.html

But if I scroll to the end of the page and click on the link "Fishes" the same error code shows up.

When I try and upload "Fishes.htm" and ask for an upload of associated files they all upload successully and then Dreamweaver tells me that Fishes.htm did not upload.

I blunder my way through Dreamweaver so am basically an amateur.

Confused, frustrated and alarmed - thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi paddyaryan,

The link to this page works OK for me.  Maybe you fixed the permissions?

http://www.ryanphotographic.com/Fishes.htm

Can we not ignore the 500+ code errors on this page alone?

https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ryanphotographic.com%2Fnewsyngnathidae.html

Or the fact that your server is not secure and you need SSL certificates?

For others who want the correct link to the page: http://www.ryanphotographic.com/newsyngnathidae.html

Could it be that the folder to which your are uploading the file does not have the correct permissions?

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!
