Cannot edit html files and Live View is greyed out

So I am new at Dreamweaver, and I am making my first website for my school assignment. 

I have saved my files like this (I still have much left): 

SITE FOLDER

- site.html

- images

- CSS 

When I have my website open, the html codes are greyed out, and I cannot choose to see it in Live View (Not Live Preview in Browser). 

It also cannot connect to the server..
