Question

Cannot upload to my website, but I can connect.

I have a new computer, iMac, all files shifted on installation, with DW2021. When I try to upload a new document to the website, I get this pop-up:

"Access to Macintosh HD:Users:admin:current files:[exact location and name]:_notes:dwsync.xml was denied."

Everything for my website is on the same drive (the internal drive), and I can connect to my website without difficulty. Can't upload but can download. The file I want to upload is a PDF, and a new file. Can someone help me diagnose this and get it fixed? Thanks so much.

    1. Remove any special characters (~) from your Mac volume name.

    2. Ensure that your local site folder is located on your primary hard drive, not a cloud drive.

    3. Ensure that you have full OS permissions to READ/ WRITE files on that volume.

    4. To create a new site definition in DW, go to Site > New Site...  If you haven't already, don't forget to add your remote server's ROOT directory to the server profile.

Failing that, use a dedicated S/FTP client like FileZilla to upload your PDF files.
