Capture a font?

Hello, all,

My boss just asked me if I knew how to capture a Google font.

My smart-alecky response:  "I can Google it."  (That got a good response from the rest of my team.  Har har.)

As it turns out, I can't Google it.  Every alteration I've tried keeps bringing me back to information on a font called "Capture It".  (facepalm)

Could someone please explain to me how to capture a Google font?

    To use a google font...

    1. Go to www.google.com/fonts
    2. Find a font you like and click the red + icon next to it

    3. Click the newly appearing bar on the bottom of the window to get embedding info (<link> code for your <head> section)

To download one to use locally (capture it?)...

    1. Do the above
    2. Go to the css file referenced in the <link> source
    3. Copy the URL of the .woff2 font from the .css file and browse to it to start a download
    4. Add the file to your site and link to the local copy in your css

LOL, they changed it. This will be easier..

    1. Do the above
    2. Click the newly appearing bar at the bottom
    3. Click the Download icon

    Thanks, Jon!

After doing that and looking around on how to _use_ the downloaded fonts, boss says "Okay, I just found something on herokuapp that makes it a lot easier."  (SMH)

    Capture?

Does he want you to download the font to use locally?

I believe that is what he means, yes.  He developed outside of our dev environment, and wants me to place a copy of his project in dev, but it uses a Google font.  So he wants me to capture the font for our dev environment.
