Chinese characters appear in download

When downloading php files from 1 pearticular website the pages were renamed like this:

湡晳牥敲d汬睯摥.ssindinner-menu.php

The actual file name is dinner-menu.php

Any help is appreciated.

As others have mentioned, this has nothing to do with Dreamweaver.

Are you using the dreamweaver FTP? This sort of thing is more to do with a character encoding issue.

Sounds like something is being corrupted on your server. Do you have a backup of your site?

I do not understand your question, sorry. Filenames are not a DW question and DW doesn't change file names.
