Code Window Won't Open

On some occasions when I click on the CODE button all I get is a small black rectangle. Also sometimes when the code window does open I cannot make any changes, cannot even scroll, nothing. Closing and re-opening DW fixes it until the next time.

I'm using 2017 version on a Mac with Yosemite.

  1. Just wanted to check are you still encountering this problem?
  2. Is it happening with some particular file? If Yes, Can you share your test files with us?
  3. Which platform you are using?

It only happened one more time and then the program locked up so I did a Force Quit. I'm using Yosemite 10.10.5

When DW encounters code errors it cannot reconcile, it something does funny things like you describe.

Check your code for errors (Window > Results > Validation. Click the Triangle > Check current document).

Fix reported errors and save.

I did that but the window was empty. I guess I have to do it when the problem occurs.
