Hey guys, I am having a problem with a website, and i am truly a Dreamweaver begginer. My issue is that my work has online contest, and Secondstreet.com host the contest. I design a page wrap that goes around the contest. In the past I have had no issues, but recently they changed their website to HTTPS, and i have always designed in HTTP....Is there a easy way to save my Dreamweaver documents to be compatiable with HTTPS. I lot of times, i pick up old shells and reuse them, so i am hoping this is a simple fix. An guidence would be appreciated. Thank you.

if it is a palin DW website (not a CMS), just be sure that all the files that are present in your hosting files are linked using a https protocol.

I mean, all type of files, that are in explicit full URL (not reltive link), so, control all your externals CSS, JS, LIBS, IMG, iFRAME, src attribut...

just launch a search all (Ctrl shift F) for http:// then check if thos links still exists on https:// access, so you can the search and replace http:// by https://  that's all you have to do.

    1. Browsers block mixed content for security reasons.

    2. Use link below to identify mixed content in your markup.

    3. Use DW's Find and Replace to change mixed content links from HTTP to HTTPS.

    Hope that helps.

HTTP and HTTPS are server protocols, not part of the page.

Saving the page to a secure site is all it takes to "turn it" into an https.

Mixing http and https in the same file won't work right. If you have a page on a secure server (using https), and an iframe on that page trying to show insecure info from another site (http), the browser will throw errors letting the viewer know the page isn't secure, or it simply won't show the insecure content.
