CS3 Reactivation

I have followed all of the support instructions to get a new serial number for my old (but still perfectly functional) copy of Dreamweaver CS3. I have uninstalled the old version and re-installed the version that was offered for download from the support pages. At no stage during the installation was I asked to input the new serial number. I have re-opened the new version of CS3 and it is still trying to re-validate. It is unable to do so. How can I continue using the product?

There is a folder that needs to be removed, I think Adobe's instructions either forget to mention it, or hide it pretty well. You should be able to follow Nancy's "Correct" answer from this thread to get up and running...

    Hi Jon

thanks for the tip. Sadly that has not solved the problem. I uninstalled CS3 again, and rebooted the laptop. I downloaded and ran the clean-up tools which worked exactly as per the instructions and said it had completed successfully - and rebooted the laptop again. I re-downloaded the new version of CS3 and installed this successfully. However, when I open Dreamweaver it is still saying I have one day to re-activate, it has not asked me for my new serial number and still looks like it will shut itself down tomorrow, which is a real shame when it is still a perfectly good product. We can't even blame Microsoft this time as this is a spanner that Adobe have bunged in the works!
