CS5.5 DW-Flash movies won''t play in the document window

Hi, thanks for reading.

I am updating an old site that uses flash.

CS5.5 DW: in the properties palette, the play button will not play any embedded swf. in the html document I am viewing

Nor will LiveView show the flash file .swf

Any ideas?

There are a number of reasons why flash will not show If you are using Chrome, this may help

Not too surprising. Flash is dead. I haven't been able to view Flash content for more than a year in Firefox. And my other browsers have disabled Flash player plugins by default now.

I must have phrased this question wrong...lets try again...

Am asking about viewing the .swf in the DW interface, not a browser.

Could / can anyone view the swf in this interface?

... or no one is familiar with this older cs5.5 flash properties palette set up?
