Question

Cursor jumps about as I write code

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering what's causing the cursor to jump to other lines of code as I'm writing. It's a very frustrating bug as I think I'm writing one of line of code but I'm actually altering another, previously written bit. It's the only application in which this occurs. BTW, I'm using DW 2021 on an iMac with Catalina (10.15.7).

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Are you working with valid code  -- denoted by a green checkmark below the document pane?

Code errors -- denoted by a red X -- can cause bizarre behavior in DW.

Go to Window > Results > Output to see your code errors.

If there are no code errors, try Restoring Preferences.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks! I'll check it out. I really wish Adobe had another way of signalling, if that's what DW is doing. I'm about go nuts with this.

Try switching to Design view (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + F11) when working with code.  With PHP files, Live view is an annoying distraction because it constantly needs to refresh the screen.
