Data Merging Excel file to Dreamweaver template

I don't want to data to display the same on dreamweaver as it does on the excel file. Does anyone have any insight?

if you want to present the data differently, i.e. not tabulated, then you have to proceed in two steps, the first one to inject the Excel file in a database, and then distribute these data from a script (Javascript, or PHP) in an appropriate HTML structure.

However, the database step can be avoided, if you use PHP and a library to browse Excel data PHPSpreadsheet and so on

Javascript also offers various possibilities to read XLSX or CSV data, there is also a plugin that allows you to transform your data from Excel into JSON (I never tried this last way)

Excel is not a database, it's a spreadsheet.  Copy and paste tabular data into HTML tables. 

Although not 100% perfect, there's a feature in DW for importing tabular data from the File menu.  See screenshot.
