Developer toolbox file upload issue

Hi -

Has anyone else tested the fil upload functions in toolbox?
I keep getting the Folder security error.

I have debugged this to be a problem with insert/update records if file field in form has no content.

If selected a image and submit/update, everything is ok.
If insert/update text only and file field is empty, then the security error.

Any one else have any experience or workaround for this?
