Different font sizes in code view

Why are my parentheses, brackets, and single qutoes smaller than the rest of the text? How do I fix this?

Click anywhere inside your document in Code View and use Ctrl/Cmd + 0 (zero) to normalize magnification setting.

Go to Preferences and change your code view font to something else. I use Source Code Pro (see screenshot). Click APPLY button.
