Discrepancies in domain authority and crawl behavior after mapping custom domain to Adobe Portfolio

Hi everyone, I recently migrated my creative portfolio over to Adobe Portfolio and configured my custom domain about a month and a half ago. Since making the switch, I have run into strange indexing discrepancies and unexpected drops in search metrics. Whenever I inspect my domain and check page metrics on this website, the authority indicators look noticeably lower than before the move, and several subpages appear to be flagged for redirect latency and duplicate canonical tags. Has anyone else encountered situations where the built-in URL handling or SSL certificate configuration in Adobe Portfolio confuses search bot crawlers or causes audit utilities to miscalculate domain equity? In addition, Google Search Console seems unusually slow to pick up the updated sitemap, which I suspect might be worsening the authority drop. I would appreciate any advice on DNS adjustments, header fixes, or troubleshooting steps within the Adobe dashboard to ensure external crawlers and analyzers read the site properly.

You incorrectly posted this in the Dreamweaver product forum which  has nothing to do with Portfolio.

Adobe Portfolio is a separate Creative Cloud Service that comes free with your paid subscription. It’s not meant to replace hosted web solutions. It’s more of a compliment to other websites & social media channels.

Whenever you move a website, it takes several months for search engines to re-index your site URLS and reflect the changes on SERPS. That’s just part of the process. Be patient.

Although Portfolio doesn’t have a dedicated user forum like this one, it does provide a knowledgebase & help desk to answer your Portfolio questions. See links below:

    Hope that helps.

If you need help with the portfolio or need to contact the team, your best bet is this form: https://help.myportfolio.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=177168 .

It’s hard to say if the site is being negatively impacted by the move but it is possible if redirects are not setup properly or there are other issues in play. What drove you to move from a hosted solution to Adobe Portfolio? What solution was that? It’s possible a solution like Portfolio might not provide the advanced options you are looking for because it’s very focused in what it offers and there are not as many options to modify the code, or reduce site loading times by looking into the source code as that’s not an option with this solution.

In your scenario I would reach out to the Portfolio team first to see what options they may offer you. But otherwise, if the site is being too negatively impacted, I would roll back your DNS updates and point to your old host until you can fully scope out portfolio and see if it’s able to accomplish what you need it to do.
