I the past I had used dream weaver to download edit and update WordPress pages after optimizing them for SEO. That was a few years ago. Today I am getting back into it and cannot get it to work properly. I have been able to download content from my WP site just not the webpages that I created. Like I said I have done it in the past and just cannot find the information that I used last time any help wood be greatly appreciated. I think it seemed much simple then.

thanks in advance,

Kim

How to you proceed to download pages, are you talking about the XML export from Tools, or are you talking about a specific pluging as All-in-one ?

    Is that possible

Is this a question?... actually I'm not sure I understand, are you asking if what you'd like to do is possible? because in fact, in the very first comment, you seem to be presenting an old workflow that you used to use? And that the download was done using DW!

I'm sorry, but my English is rather limited.

    ========

Not sure how that's possible given that WordPress is not a static HTML page builder.  You would have had to convert dynamic WP to static HTML first.  And that defeats the whole point of using WP.

I don't know which SEO app you use or why.  But it seems more prudent to use WP optimization tools that are specifically designed for use with a WordPress site.

There's nothing to be gained from editing WP manually.  Content isn't stored in actual pages.  It's stored in the MySQL database. Pages are virtual, meaning the server creates them on the fly from scripts, data and your Theme's index page.

Use the CMS dashboard as intended.  If it doesn't give you all the functionality you need, buy a good premium Theme or plugins.

I download pages and put them in my SEO software. After I have optimized
the page content with the updated score I upload the content to replace the
old content. It would take twice as long to optimize the content in my app
then manually log in and change the content in WordPress. So all I want to
know is how can I take the content that I optimized in my software and
replace the content on my WP site without having to change everything word
    for word. is that possible

Use copy & paste into your SEO app.  Edit WP content directly on the site.

Like I said above, there are no pages to download.  Your site consists of PHP scripts and content stored in the MySQL database.  In order to access your content, you must connect to the database.  The simplest way is through the editor in your WP dashboard.
