Question

Dreamweaver 2017 can no longer connect to any of my FTP servers.

While working in Dreamweaver 2017, it got hung up temporarily (windows blanking out and back on, spinning cursor, etc.) and ever since, I have been unable to connect to any of my FTP servers. Dreamweaver 2015 is still able to connect. I've uninstalled and re-installed Dreamweaver 2017 and imported .ste files that I exported from my 2015 version, but still no go. I'm on Windows 10 and I've been running Dreamweaver 2017 without any issues since its official release.

The FTP servers in question are hosted by the company I work for (I can connect to them OK using Dreamweaver 2017 at home). I have one additional FTP connection to a remote site that works fine.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like your site definition may have gone corrupt.

I would do something like this after deleting the site definition from CC2017 (it won't affect your actual files, just the site settings)...

1. Open CC2015 (since it works here)

2. Go to Site > Manage Sites > click the site > Export to create a .ste file of the site settings

3. Close CC2015

4. Open CC2017

5. Go to Site > Manage Sites > Import to import the .ste

That "should" do the trick because all of the settings will be identical to CC2015's working site.

Yep. Tried that. A number of times. This is baffling.

If you've imported a working site and it's just not, I'd nuke CC2017 entirely using the Adobe Cleaner Tool with a full reinstall.
