Dreamweaver 2017 won't open

Question

I have a Creative Cloud subscription and have been using Dreamweaver CC.

Today I downloaded Dreamweaver CC (2017).

When I click on the application, there's a 1-second indication that the application is trying to open, but it does not open. I saw one support comment to give read/write permissions to the Preference folder....but I don't find a preference folder anywhere in the Dreamweaver folder or in the general Acrobat folder. Any ideas?

Did it even launched once on your machine?
Do you get any error message on launch?

Preferences folder you can find at below locations

Mac OS: /[user]/Library/Application Support/Adobe

Windows: Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CC [version number] (folder)
