Dreamweaver 2018 not responding

I have a Creative Cloud subscription and have for years. I have never gotten Dreamweaver 2018 to work well on my computer. I have a Windows 10 computer that has all the updates. When I first updated to 2018, it worked kinda. It would open and take forever to load all the panels. I used it a few times and it was so slow and buggy that I went back to 2017. Every time I notice that there is a new version I give it a try and sure enough, it doesn't work either.

Here is my latest experience. I updated to 18.2 build 10165 today. Upon first run it took over 25 minutes before it fully loaded all the panels and I could pull down any menus. I tried to open a file and that took a while. Simply minimizing or maximizing was hit and miss. DW is not using a lot of resources, but it isn't working either.

Two times ago, I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still no good.

What can I try next?

After un-installing and re-installing both from the Adobe Creative Cloud app and the windows control panel, it seems to be working right now.

The fact remains that the directions for the removal tool are wrong and have zero chance of working the way described.

Thanks,

Kirk

Before re-installing, did you run the CC Cleaner tool?  _

I think I did that back in February when I was trying before to get this working. I decided to try it again, but the directions don't work the way that they say they should.

The directions say to first uninstall the program through the control panel and then run the CC Cleaner tool. The problem is, the CC Cleaner tool can only clean programs that are installed.

1. Back up

2. Open Control Panel and find app

3. Uninstall App through Control Panel

4. Follow uninstall instructions

5. Restart your computer

6. Click Adobe CC Cleaner

7. Run as Administrator

8. Directions... Language, review agreement, SELECT THE APPLICATION YOU WANT TO REMOVE....

I Can't. It isn't in the list. We already removed it in step 3&4

Hard to follow the directions.
