Dreamweaver 2018: Properties window won't show

How do I find the properties window???

I select in the dropdown and nothing happens.

I need to make an image map.

I've been using dreamweaver since 1997.

Why on earth can't I use the properties window?

Chances are it's hidden behind something else. It could be behind another window, or hiding near the edges where it would be mostly on another monitor.

If it used to exist in your workspace and has just disappeared on you, try going to Window > Workspace Layout > Reset 'workspace name'

After resetting the workspace, if it's still not there, try Ctrl/Cmnd + F3 to get it to pop up.

I'm sorry. I had two monitors. One is a laptop with the lid closed.

When I select properties in the dropdown, the properties window opens on the closed laptop screen.

So I have found it and need to close this question.

Wish it opened in the bottom of dreamweaver itself instead of outside of it.

You can mark my answer as correct to close the thread.

To get it to open in the bottom of the app frame, click and drag the named tab of the window over to the bottom of the application frame until you see a highlight appear. Release the tab and it will lock to the application frame.

You can do that with all of your windows to reorganize them the way you like. Once you're done doing that, go to Window > Workspace Layout > New Workspace to give your new workspace a name and save it.
