Dreamweaver and Macbook Air

I'm going to purchase and Macbook and need to know of CC apps like Dreamweaver work well on the Macbook Air or if I really need the Macbook Pro.

    As others have stated, DW should work fine, but more intensive apps like Premiere Pro you may want a MBP for that.  Also, given Apple's timelines, an Air is about mid-cycle and the MBP is nearing the end of the cycle as they are moving towards Apple's chips and away from Intel.  So depending on the model you are looking at it may be worth waiting for Apple's next launch event which usually happens in Sep/Oct.

      See the system requirements for Creative Cloud + all other apps you intend to use below.   Dw is not nearly as resource intensive as Premier Pro or Photoshop but it requires ample HD space and RAM.
