Dreamweaver CC 2015 Classroom in a Book Lesson 7.3.2 / 7.3.4 error?

Hello,

As I work through this book, I have hit a roadblock based on what appears to be a bug/ error in the author's instructions.

In 7.3.2 (Hiding Bootstrap Elements) the final step given, prior to saving is:

10. Click the Remove Class/ID icon for the hidden-sm class. The class is removed from the element.

However, lesson 7.3.4 picks up with step 5 asking:

5. Select the aside.col-sm-3 .hidden-sm tag selector. Observe the DOM panel display.

The issue is that we removed this class in the final instruction in lesson 7.3.2.

I figured adding it back (ignoring the deletion step from 7.3.2) would resolve. But then, when I get to step 7 my quotation does not appear anywhere on the screen when I drag the scrubber to the small media query, as the author's does in his video and in the book photo. Therefore, I cannot continue on to steps 8, 9, etc.

Can you assist so that I may complete this important lesson?

You should contact the book author about those continuity errors.  I don't have Classroom in a Book 2015 so I can't help you as I have no idea what it contains.    The current DW version is CC 2017.5  So your book is a little out of date.

Bootstrap is not hard to learn.  Bootstrap's web site has full documentation on the framework.

    http://bootstrapdocs.com/v3.3.6/docs/getting-started/

In addition, W3 Schools has a whole series on using Bootstrap layouts and classes.

Last but not least,  David Powers -- author & frequent contributor to this forum -- has created a video series on Lynda.com including this one for DW 2015.

    Hi Nancy,

Thank you for taking time to respond. Do you  know how to contact the author, because I don't. Also, I agree, it's not easy to provide an answer to my specific question without having the (barely out of date) version 2015.

To future potential respondees, please ensure you have the text available so that you can answer my question appropriately. I code by hand using Notepad ++ and always have. While I understand coding, and bootstrap, etc. I do not understand the specific Adobe Dreamweaver actions being represented in this lesson, because the author has made an error (I assume) in their instructions from one lesson to the following lesson. The specific Adobe Dreamweaver steps are the reason I bought the textbook to learn.

I much appreciate anyone who can take time to assist!
