Dreamweaver CC Crashes Constantly

Downloaded Dreamweaver CC last night. Cannot keep it open for more than a few seconds. Noticed if I open a file, no code shows in the Code Inspector. If I click the X to close the file, DW CC crashes. Think this release came a out a bit too soon. Buggy as hell.

I don't know if CC uses startup scripts but I fixed a similar problem running DW5 under Windows XP. I had persistent crashes. Deleting the cache didn't work. If I renamed (or deleted) DW5's preferences, DW5 would recreate its preferences and then crash without ever showing any interface.

My fix was to rename (or delete) the startup script files at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Startup Scripts CS5\Dreamweaver\dreamweaver-11.0\ No problems since.

I'm finding the previous release marginally better, but ONLY marginally.

I find Dreamweaver CC very unstable on my system running the latest Yosemite, particularly when working multiple remote sites simultaneously.

If I have files open from several different sites and toggle between them to change, save and upload, Dreamweaver will hang for up to 8 full minutes on the beach ball. Now, I know you must be wondering why wait for 8 minutes on the beach ball instead of just Force Quitting? Well, I found that force quitting makes it even buggier upon reopening and ends up taking more time.

It's very frustrating... my workflow has been GREATLY slowed down switching from CS5 to CC. I'm a very sad customer because no amount of pref & plist ditching solves it.

I have the same trouble. It causes the kernel task on my mac to run at almost 100%. Here is what I did to fix. I installed a back version of dreamweaver and AVOID UPDATING IT WITH CREATIVE CLOUD. Everything is much better using the older version.

Boy, wish I'd researched the forums before I installed the latest version of Dreamweaver.

Just installed DWCC2014.1 and not only is it EXTREMELY sluggish, it "hangs" on every attempt to save (causing a force-quit), and occasionally on just clicking on a panel to view its contents (Assets panel caused my last hang). I don't see any resolution in this thread or any other -- I've deleted preferences files, changed my code view fonts (and made sure they're activated/enabled). No difference. Please, anyone find a fix for this yet?? I will resolve to downloading CS6 in the morning until this is fixed, but what a pain.

FYI, I'm running a mid 2010 Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 -- The last version of Dreamweaver CC 2014 worked flawlessly, and now I can't go back. Please help.

Thank you Nancy!!!!! You're a lifesaver -- this version still crashes on occasion (only on quit), but at least I can save without the hangs.

2015 now!! I have just uninstalled my version after only one afternoon (on a mac), completely unusable. Started off very well but got progressively slower until I reached a point where every attempt at using it triggered the dreaded beach ball. I had the same problem with the demo so I was reluctant anyway but, as I mentioned, it started off very well today and then slowly ground to a halt. Very disappointed.

In my case, on an IMAC - Just installed latest version of DM with CreativeCloud.

Tried to open DM, it bounces a bit on the dock and never 'opens'.

I have the latest version of Java, tried all the fixes from these forums, have all software up to date and nada, zip, zilch.

Anyone?

Okay, so what's going on with this? OP submitted this on Jun 18, 2013 6:52 AM. It is now Nov 9, 2014 11:07 AM.

Was there a fix since replies to this post have calmed down?

The request by staff to have us restart our machine was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. I feel like they do that to buy them time and waste ours.

I am having crashes every 2 hours (no exaggeration) after application launches. I nearly punched my screen a few minutes ago I was so p!ssed. Working late on a weekend and this crap happens? I'm pretty good with saving work, but it's very easy for an hour or two to go by and when it crashes, you lose your work. Which SUCKS.

It crashes mostly during "undo/redo". After viewing "live", there are times when design view is completely blank on a gray background when I unclick "live". Clicking on a menu item at the top sometimes brings back unlive design view. Most times it just crashes. Just now, code view went blank and it crashed. Why in the holy hell did you guys release such a buggy version? Do you not have application testers there? I'm no coding wizard, so if it happens to me, it most certainly will happen to your testers (assuming there are other people than us consumers who test your products).

I have the latest version of all CC products. Windows 7, 64 bit, 16gb ram machine with no other issues.

Tell me why I should continue to pay for CC when I can use my CS6 versions that aren't buggy? Are you going to refund us for buggy software that is basically unusable?

One last thing...given how smart the developers are in making these applications for us, why has no one there had the bright idea of implementing auto-save? Has it on After Effects and not Dreamweaver? WTF? Why not auto save to a folder on your local drive? It's not like it'll overwrite the remote drive. SMH.

NOT. HAPPY.

Was this issue sorted already? I keep checking for updates but none... Why do we pay a lot of money for poorly coded software??!!??!!??!!

I'm having the same crash issue.  As soon as I open a file CC crashes.  I have no extensions installed.  It was working fine until the most recent update.

December 9, 2013

did you fix it ?

It does look like the staff is looking into it, but considering this is only one day in, I have no idea when they'll actually push out an update

thank you.

Same Issue... I have tried everything in this forum multiple times.  It still crashes. Frusterating that I am paying $60 a month for a product I can't even use.  Please help?

Attached is my consol.  The fonts always seem to be an issue no matter what I do. I don't know how to fix?

I have the same problem as everyone else and have tried the many fixes without success. Random unexpected crashed from DW CC on a Windows 8 machine.

Really frustrating.

Where can I send the crash logs?

Jody in VA look at the calendar. Maybe send those crash logs to Santa? Sadly, posting here doesn't seem to do much good. Although Santa also has his market cornered he doesn't require a nonrefundable one year commitment that is billed monthly as a subscription fee.

In addition to the crash logs ,Please mention
