Dreamweaver CC opens with screen showing 50% properties and 50% recent new open option

Question

The last few days Dreamweaver has taken upon itself to open as a 50% screen width showing Open file, new file recent options, and the other 50% of the screen shows the properties tab.

I have tried saving a workspace with the properties tab narrowed to a reasonable width, and setting it as my default workspace, unfortunately each time I open DW it reverts to 50 50%, this is annoying in the extreme.

Does anyone know why this happens, and more important, how to make it cease and desist?

My apologies, I closed and then tried this from the Creative Cloud popup and it worked.

The instructions on doing this from the folder that the Dreamweaver .exe file do not work though.

Hi,I tried these stepsReset preferences for WindowsIn the installation folder (C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Dreamweaver [version]), click the file Dreamweaver.exe.Hold down the Windows key + Ctrl + Shift and double-click Dreamweaver.exe. (Windows Vista) Continue holding down the keyboard shortcut (Windows key + Ctrl + Shift) even when the User Account Control (UAC) dialog box appears.In the Reset Preferences dialog box, click Yes. The windows preference box does not appear as Dreamweaver does not strat using that key press combination.Can you advise. Win 7 64 bit installed
