Question

Dreamweaver crashes during FTP file transfer

Two minutes into file transfer, Dreamweaver just crashes every single time. I'm using the latest and greatest Dreamweaver version. The older version (2018 I think) worked just fine. I can't pin point the issue.

I'm running Mac, latest OS.

What do I do?

Mac latest -- does that mean latest Mojave or latest Catalina?

If Catalina, you need Dreamweaver 2020.  See this help article.

Your mac crash logs might shed some light on what's causing DW to crash.

Yes I run Catalina and DW 2020

I can post crash report once it crashes if you'd like. I just don't know what to look for in that crash report to troublshoot the problem myself.

I would download the Filezilla Client so you can at least get your site updated. That way your work can be done as troubleshooting continues in DW.

Is there any given file being uploaded that it crashes on?
Have you tried uploading individual files one at a time rather than the entire site?
Have you done any of the usual troubleshooting (clearing cache, restoring preferences, etc)?
