Question

Dreamweaver CS4 can't load once CS5 is loaded on computer

Had CS4 loaded on computer.

Used it, did a couple of websites.

Got CS5.

Didn't think I needed CS4, so uninstalled it.

Find that I'd like to use Dreamweaver CS4. Tried to reinstall it, and noticed that any CS5 programs that are already installed, (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc), don't show up as options to even load anymore?

Is there a block from CS5 to prevent any other CS4 programs from installing on the same computer??

CS4 and CS5 install on separate directories.   So there is nothing precluding you from having both if your operating system supports them.   Older Creative Suite products are not certified to run on modern OSs (Win10, Mac Sierra or El Capitan).

So while you can install both on your computer, you cannot use them both at the same time.  You must close one version before opening another.

I would start by using the Adobe CS Cleaner tools to remove all old installation files followed by a reinstall of CS4 and then CS5.   Restart your computer after each installation.

Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

Well, good to hear there is nothing specific preventing it.

Running Yosemite (10.10.5)

When using the install discs, the window for installing CS4 is very small, can only see the first 5 packages that are available to install. Can't even see, or scroll to see, what all is available to click to install, and no button to click to install all.

Any way to get just Dreamweaver to install from the CS4 install discs?

The normal way, (A window you can see ALL that is available) doesn't seem to be an option?

Thx

You must be on a Hi pixel density screen.  CS4 is not hi density aware. Neither is CS5 for that matter.
