Dreamweaver CS5 not starting

OSX 10.11.6

Dreamweaver is not starting. It begins the launch and then just stops. I have uninstalled and reinstalled CS5. I have dumped preferences. I tried to download the Dreamweaver 11.0.4 update, but get a "disk damaged" error.

Any suggestions? TIA!

Althea

I tried all sorts of fixes, then remembered Time Machine. *sigh* I had to install a version from October. It's all working again.

Many thanks to all!

Hi I have the same problem now, but don't understand the solution.

Which version of what was on Time Machine?

Time Machine is the Mac's built-in backup application.

If you don't have a Mac, you won't have Time Machine.

I have a Mac OSX El capitan 10.11.6 and Time Machine.

My question was what file should I re-install to make Dreamweaver start normally again.

I tried to download the Dreamweaver 11.0.4 update from the internet, but get a "disk damaged" error, just as Althea.

Please help

Hi Althea,

Is this the first time you are installing the software? Where was it purchased from? Does your computer meet the system requirements for Dreamweaver CS5? Dreamweaver system requirements

Thanks,

Preran
