I would like to transfer my dreamweaver cs6 app to my new iMac.  it currently sits on my old MacBook.  I have the disc and serial numbers but not disc slot on the new iMac?  I think I have used the software once so I should be able to use again on my new computer.  I would ideally like to keep the software on my MacBook and the new iMac. I would welcome advise thank you, Jane

Also, you might find it helpful to Export your site definitions from the MacBook.  Site > Manage Sites.

Save the .ste files to a USB drive or flash stick and import them to your iMac.

I will try to install again.  I have used the time machine method but failed but didn't realise I had the serial number and disc so might try again and if that fails I can try to install again.  if I am brave I might try the site definition saving.  thank you - jt

It's usually best to run the installation routine.  You can download CS6 below.

Are you using Time Machine?  You can restore applications through that when setting up your new Mac.  I've done that in the past and have been sucessful at moving apps, profiles, etc.
