Dreamweaver design view is slow to load after edits in code view

Hi I recently got a file from customer, whenever I did something in the code view, the design view is super slow to reflect the changes, the color wheel will spin for like 20 seconds each time I edit something.

All the other files I created previously ran fast, no issues, just this file is super painful to work with as it is super slow.  wonder if it has something to to with CSS or the fact that this file contains <div>?  all files I created do not have any <div> and it is fast.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Nancy, those links will be very handy going forward.

Shut down the macbook for the day, this morning turn back on, launched Dreamweaver, open the file up, what do you know, everything is fast now.  Seems the computer was bogged down by all day of work, after fresh restart, Dreamweaver is fresh again.

<div> tags are structural elements the same as <ul>, <h1>, <h2> etc...

After edits, save document to your local primary hard drive to free up temporary memory.

    Use F5 to refresh screen.

In my experience, Live view is a few seconds slower to redraw than Design view.  But neither should have prolonged latency issues.  If it's not redrawing right away, there is probably a coding problem somewhere that needs attention.
