Dreamweaver hanging

I am so frustrated, have not used Dreamweaver for a couple of years. I am now trying to use it again to build a website. It is part of my programs I pay for monthly. It does not even open one page!

    Can you be more specific?  

    Are you trying to open an HTML file from your DW Files Panel in Code | Design | Live view?

    Which version?  From the Help Menu > About Dreamweaver

    Which OS?

     

    To open files from your local site folder, they should be on a drive/volume that's readable by DW. Usually your primary hard drive.  C:\YourSite

    What OS? There are some instances of the latest release causing some hangups in the latest Mac OS and the current recommendation is to go one version back to 21.4.
