Dreamweaver hanging

I am running Dreamweaver 2017 on Windows Pro 10 Version 1703. Every 10 - 15 minutes when I open a dialogue box such as ‘Save As’ the program screen in the background goes black (the dialogue box is usually still visible) and the program hangs for anything up to 60 seconds and occasionally crashes altogether. The only potential cause I have found online is Web Companion which I don’t have installed. Any ideas?

It doesn’t crash it freezes and there is no record in the event viewer that refers to Dreamweaver.

i have same problem. It worked fine on Friday. I shut down my computer and when i started back up Monday, its is slow as a turtle

I tried deleting prefs and even deleting the configuration folder. Nada
