Dreamweaver in 2023 - Memory Issues

I have seen ongoing complaints for memory issues with Dreamweaver for years so I guess this may be a waste of time in posting.  Someone posted that Adobe is just cobbling Dreamweaver and that it is not being actively developed.  I had actually believed I was having computer problems until I realized it was Dreamweaver alone that was working so slowly.  Is there a fix pending?  Something to be done if not why doesnt Adobe just put it out to pasture and save the grace.

I have no memory issues at all with Dreamweaver running on Win10, ver 22H2 with latest updates.

    • My local site folders are all defined and residing on my primary hard drive, not networkworked, externals or cloud drives.
    • I save often during editing sessions with Ctrl + S which frees up RAM memory.
    • I mainly work with CODE | SPLIT | DESIGN view unless I need to check the layout with LIVE.  I toggle back to Design again with Ctrl + Shift + F11.

Random memory issues could mean your site preferences file is unstable or the file is corrupted in some way.

    Try Restoring Preferences.

If that doesn't help, run the Adobe Cleaner Tool to wipe DW off your system.  Restart computer and perform a clean re-install from Creative Cloud Desktop App.

    Hope that helps.

Addon: Sorry, if it wasn't apparent from my fist rambling post that Dreamweaver is locking up on me and ruining my workflow with apparent memory issues.
