Dreamweaver keeps asking me to save the page

Hi everyone,

I have been learning Dreamweaver CC 2017 for a while, which I find very powerful so far, but I have come across a rather annoying behavior. Basically, anytime I make a little change to the code in the editor, and then I click elsewhere on my desktop (Usually when I want to stop videotutorial playing on my left-side monitor), Dreamweaver asks me to save the changes. it is very annoying because it happens all the time, and I haven't found yet a useful option to fix this problem.

Can anyone please help me with that?

Thank you, Luke

This used to happen to me when using a server side language )PHP) and having Live View activated. Now that I am using DW 2017.5 I do not have this problem.

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

    Thanks. It works now.

More, I'll use only the browser to see my code running. No live view anymore.

    Hi,

So we have an already known issue for PHP files with Live view asking to save files, we are working on fixing it. if you are trying something similar to the steps mentioned below?

    1. create a site

    2. create a new php file in the site

    3. in the server settings, configure a local server setup which supports php like wamp

    4. define a testing server in the site

    5. open the php file in full code view and live view selected from the dropdown

    6. edit the file and don't save it

    7. switch to some other app like safari, google chrome using Alt+Tab

If not, then can you please mention the steps or share a video clip demonstrating the issue you are encountering?
