Dreamweaver not syncing site

I'm having a problem with Dreamweaver CC 2021 on a Mac running Montery (12.6.3); however, I've had this problem for quite some time now, with earlier versions of Dreamweaver and MacOS. I attempt to perform a sync between my local version of the live site; Dreamweaver compares the files and gives a list of what will be got or put. But then when I click the button to start the actual sync, it beachballs. It doesn't matter if I chose get and put newer files, or just get or just put. I'm connecting to the server using SFTP. Is there something I should try? Thanks.

you can try with a specific folder to remove the _notes folder, and try again to sync just with this slected folder, and see what's going on ?

I've never needed File Sync. Not even once.

If you're unsure which files you need to upload, right-click on site folder and Select > Recently Modified.

Or expand your Files Panel to compare Remote with Local files.

Are there any errors during uploading?

Before attempting to synchronize next time, make sure your FTP Log window is open. You can find it under Window > Results > FTP Log.

When you try synchronizing again, see if it records any errors and let us know what you see.
