Dreamweaver Specialists in Atlanta Area

Anyone know of any great Dreamweaver specialists in Atlanta area? Just bought new iMac Desktop and downloaded a ton of new software updates. Dreamweaver CC has my head spinning  - your suggestions are appreciated.

    What version of DW were you using previously?

    A lot has changed, and the most recent versions are a bit buggy. As a CC subscriber, you're not forced to use the latest offering though. You can have an older release (like CS6 Cloud) installed at the same time as the latest version so you can work with something more familiar while getting up to speed with CC.

    To do that...

    1. Open the CC Desktop App
    2. Click the Apps tab
    3. Click the small triangle next to DW's button
    4. Choose "Other Versions"
    5. Click and install CS6

    You can actually have all versions on the list installed on the same machines at the same time under a single subscription, they just won't run concurrently.

    If you're comfortable in Code View, there's not a whole lot of difference between old and new versions of DW.    Except that code hinting, auto code completion and Emmet shortcuts make coding faster.

    The panels, insert menus and toolbars have changed quite a bit to remove old features and bring in new ones.   See links below.

    I'm NOT comfortable in code view - I LOVED the toolbars that gave me the option of positioning graphics right, center or left - and allowed me to enter space around them. The CSS deal in CC has way too many steps.

    Wish there were a simpler way.

    Web standards have changed a lot and so has DW.   There's no need to position elements if you have a good  responsive layout to work with.

    Use one of the Starter Templates in DW.  

    File > New > Starter Templates...
