Question

dreamweaver steals focus (2021 October Windows 10)

If Dreamweaver is open and has focus, and then I click another application in the windows taskbar, Dreamweaver refuses to give up focus (stays as top/maximised window and in focus).

 

It is unbearable and needs to be fixed.

      Hi James,

       

      Thanks for writing to us. Can you please help us with a screenshot or a screeen recording illustrating the issue. Also can you please provide below info for our internal investigation since the issue is not encountered at our end.

       

      1. Win 10 version
      2. Is the issue consistently reproducible with all applications opened or only a specific application switch
      3. Please confirm if the issue is encountered even after rebooting the machine
      4. Type of file you have opened in Dw (html/css/js/php etc). Is the issue seen with all filetypes ?.

      I can't screenrecord (and a screenshot is not going to help with that).

       

      The application crashed when I opened a third .php file (bug report screen came up).

       

      I reported that bug but lost my undo on the work I was doing.

       

      On reopening Dreamweaver Windows 10 Enterprise dreamweaver version 2021, focus is no longer stolen by Dreamweaver.

       

      If any help, the focus stealing occured after the first run after updating to DW 2021.

      Did you restart your computer after upgrading to 2021?
