Dreamweaver Won't Launch! Please help!

Dreamweaver won't launch. It gets stuck at the beginning while "Loading files." I have to force quit every time. I have already tried resenting the preferences while launching, but it still won't open. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled via the Creative Cloud app, but that changes nothing.

NOTE: I created a new User account on my Mac and was able to launch the DW app that way. However, I don't want to (and should not have to) quit my main account and switch to a different user just to be able to use Dreamweaver. Also, all of my website files are located on my main user account.

I'm using a Mac with OS Monterey 12.0

I did see someone here mention using the Cloud cleaner tool, but I have no idea how to access that or whether or not that would be destructive. IF that is the ONLY way I can fix this, can you answer:

  1. Where in the world do I even FIND the cloud cleaner tool?
  2. Does it delete any files that I have created with the application? (I have lots of website files I don't want to lose!) Or just the application folder, app, and supportive files?
  3. Can I clean ONLY Dreamweaver without touching or affecting any other Adobe apps?
    THANKS very much!

Being a Mac user for many years (back to OS9/X), I do not believe the creative cloud cleaner tool will work in your situation. Since another user account worked on your computer, I would recommend you move your key documents over to the new user account and begin using that as from your description I would suspect there is corruption within your current user account. It's possible using the system first aid tool and doing a full repair of your system files and permissions may resolve the issue, but in my experience, it does not always catch the culprit and it's easier just to start using a new user profile.
