DreamweaverCS3 does not start after installation

Hi there,

after installation (no errors occured) I start dreamviewer, but nothing seems to happen. I find as much Processes "Dreamweaver.exe *32" as I have tried to start the application, but there is no dialog, message or anything else.

Dreamweaver CS3 was successfully deactivated on my old Win XP- Computer, the new one is a Windows 7 64 Bit, Intel Core i7 6700K,  32MB RAM System. Space on SSD etc. all okay. Acrobat Reader works. No further Adobe Setups.

What is wrong? Thanks for any help

Have you tried running in XP compatibility mode?

(in your program prefs settings)

DW CS3 is compatible with Windows 7. So this should not help. It worked in an earlier Windows 7 installation without problems and withour any "runas" oder "xpmode"- options...

Thank you for your suggestions.

An idea that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in newer Windows... works for some, not for others

-RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

-or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

Thanks for the suggestion, but Dreamweaver CS3 is fully compatible with Windows 7. I have previously installed Dreamweaver CS3 on a Win 7 System and it didn't make any trouble.

I guess it has to do with the activation tool. But I get no error message.

Any other idea? :-)
